Continuing with our project training days, Tracy and Pete organised a fantastic day demonstrating and assisting several of our members in the production of a hollow form.
Each step was demonstrated by Tracy, then each member completed that step on their own lathes guided by Tracy and Pete.
We are finding this method of gaining project experience, very rewarding and enjoyable. After each step time is given for questions and answers to help gain understanding.
Everyone achieved a hollow form at the end of a hard day, it was good to hear the banter and to see the pride with the finished project.
We hope to continue these days, trying new projects and developing new skills. This is a great way of gaining experience.
